Looking back, I can see that life has certainly presented me with many difficult and trying times. Over the years I have experienced loss and grief, trauma, depression and health issues (just to name a few). This means that I am able to bring many years of life experience, empathy, compassion and understanding to my clients.
Most of the trauma in my life came before the age of five years, leaving me constantly trying to make sense of my life and of life in general. For as long as I can remember, I was always looking for answers and for peace. This search eventually led me into the field of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I hope to share my learning with you.
My therapeutic approach is one which integrates elements of several modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness.
My greatest passion is in helping others to find peace, fulfilment and meaning.
